When you allow yourself to dissociate from ‘what you do’ as ‘who you are,’ you find yourself eventually asking the question… “Well, who am I truly?’
If I am not a business coach… a life coach… Nicole, who lives in X suburb… who has X amount of followers… or lifts X numbers at the gym… then who am I?
Who I identify as in this world has a lot to do with who I believe I am in relation to those around me. We form our meaning of life, the world and ourselves through how we relate to everything else around us.
But when we tune inward… stripping our identity down to its core… what do we find?
We are but souls.
Souls who are no different from the others around us.
Our name, age, nationality, belief systems, accomplishments and accolades are nothing. They are just labels we use to identify ourselves and to say “I am different to the other.”
In essence, we are all made of the same substance.
So why do we strive to accumulate these labels? What part of us says we are ‘better than’ when we have more? Or assumes certain levels of privilege because we hold certain labels?
I do not wish to live in a world where the goal is to have more.
Expansion is not about accumulation.
My work here on earth is not to teach people how to have more for the sake of having.
But its to find themselves and their worth in their humanity. To reconnect to their essence. To strip back what they thought mattered to them and to find their worth outside of what they own or have accomplished.
It’s to find their true self without the labels.
And when they find this, to own it and to live life from it.
This is true freedom.
Its liberation from the inside out.
Its the uninhibited, unrestricted & unapologetic self that has always existed. And this self is the one that surrenders to the flow of life, follows her calling and lives life more expansively because she is not tied to anything or anyone.
This is why expansion, visualisation and confidence matter to me. Vision boards, creating wealth, business, all of it… are all ways this freedom expresses itself… but it is not the end goal. It never was.
So a part of me asks the question “have I been teaching the wrong things?”
“Have I been leading out of alignment?”
And from grace, I can see now that I did the best I could with what I knew.
I want to liberate people from the inside out by teaching them what I knew… but what I knew was also limited too.
Here’s what I now know… to co-create your dream life is a spiritual act. It is an act in which your soul meets with the creative power of the universe to actualise and materialise desires into matter. When your knowledge is limited, so will your desires.
The things you desire i.e. the things you pin on your vision board are the things your rational brain can come up with. These are the expressions of things you can comprehend that will allow you access to certain emotions you wish to feel.
But in essence… they are just circumstances.
Its humbling, really.
We are souls, living a transient experience of life.
